2009 ROCKAWAY ROCKETS CHEERLEADING
PROGRAM
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
2009 cheer Rules and Regulations
Mandatory Cheer Attire Sizing/Ordering
Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2009
Location: DBO Gym
Time: See below for squad time assignments
Bring: Cash, check or credit card for payment to Elaine's Cheer Gear and cheerleader to ensure proper sizing
Important Cheer Ordering Facts:
1) Cheer Attire is Mandatory - All cheerleaders must have mandatory attire items in order to cheer.
2) One Order Date Only - There is only one date for attire ordering. Extensive set-up and vendor personnel commitment precludes us from offering additional dates.
3) Time Assignments - Squad time assignments are designed to allow appropriate time for each girl to size and order. In addition, assigning times per squad helps to lessen lines and backlogs which will make the most efficient use of your time. Siblings are permitted to attend together.
4) Order Forms - Order forms will be provided at DBO. In addition, order forms per squad are available online. See the link to each squad's form below. Please use a pen with black or blue ink when completing the order forms.
5) Apparel Swap - We mentioned in the parents meeting that we would attempt to coordinate an apparel swap to help defray attire costs where possible. If you have sneakers or a Rockets tank (worn with the jacket/skirt - to be used by preclinic squads this year) in good condition that you are willing to donate to another family in the program, please email Kelly Fortune with details (item and size) by noon time tomorrow (Wednesday) at: kellyannefortune at gmail dot com Also, if you are interested in sneakers previously worn, please email Kelly and indicate your interest and size needed. We would appreciate having donated attire items delivered to Kelly or your squad coordinator by this evening, or delivered to DBO gym between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m tomorrow evening. Requests for donated items will be taken on a first come, first served basis. Items obtained through the apparel swap are "as is" with no guarantees or returns.
Times by Squad:
5:30 p.m. - Preclinic Gold (entering Grade 2) - Preclinic Sizing Form
6:00 p.m. - Preclinic White (entering Grade 3) - Preclinic Sizing Form
6:30 p.m. - Clinic (entering Grade 4) - Clinic Sizing Form
7:00 p.m. - Super Pee Wee (entering Grade 5) - Super Peewee Sizing Form
7:30 p.m. - Peewee (entering Grade 6) - Peewee Sizing Form
8:00 p.m. - JV and Varsity (entering Grades 7 and 8) - JV and Varsity Sizing Form
Pom Poms order attire in August and DO NOT attend tomorrow evening.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are unable to attend your designated attire ordering time slot due to a direct conflict (ex: mandatory school function, game/meet for another sport), you may arrive at 8:20 through 8:40 p.m., or if absolutely necessary you may attend another squad's attire ordering session. However, please refer to 3) above and utilize this option only if absolutely necessary so as not to disrupt the process for other squads. As an alternative, please arrange for someone else to order your daughter's attire items during your designated time slot. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
